Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
James 1:12
This semester has flown by! I cannot believe that I am almost half way done with college. It is an absolutely crazy feeling! These last few weeks have been so rewarding and trying at the same time. I have had the opportunity to grow relationships, hang with my sorority sisters, and catch up with family here in Lincoln. It has been such a blessing, but I have also kind of set my schoolwork and Faith and the Farmer’s Daughter to the side a little bit. As I enter my finals week and many of you are nearing closer every day, we must persevere in our studies and in our faith. It is easy to coast out the rest of the school year when you figure out you only need a 50% on your one final to pass the class or maybe it’s easier to focus on only one class that you are struggling with and ignore the others. It is a balancing act trying to figure out how much to study, how much to sleep, or if you should hang out with your friends you probably won’t see most of the summer. I know that in times of trials and tests it is much easier to turn away from your faith and get caught up in earthly things, but during finals week, be intentional about talking to God, send encouraging words to others, dive into the Bible for five minutes if you are super worried, listen to your pump-up song (mine is the song of the week), and take it day by day. Put your trust in the Lord and have faith in His plan. When we stand with God, we cannot fail, so finish this semester strong.
Challenge:
Before every test you take or final project you turn in say a prayer thanking God for your ability to get an education!
